I love getting to know my clients. I love hearing their love stories or what they love most about their families. But doing a session for a dear friend, that’s extra special.
I’ve known Allyssa and Trent for 3 years now. We’ve been through a lot of life together including 2 deployments, a wedding, a serious car accident, 2 half marathons, and a birth. I even lived with her for 8 months! She’s the kind of friend that you can call at 2am crying or just go hang out on the couch and watch Disney movies with and still have fun.
Allyssa and I were set up on a blind friend date by our husbands who were determined for us to become friends while they were deployed. I’m pretty sure we were both skeptical because these kinds of things don’t normally work out. We went on a hike together and actually clicked and have been friends ever since. At this time their son, Layne (who we affectionately call Rito), was only 6 months old and it has been amazing to watch him grow into a now spunky 3-year-old. Oh! And in September, Allyssa gave birth to their 2nd child, the prettiest little girl, Emory.
Trent and Allyssa are high school sweethearts and have lived all over the place thanks to the army. I’m so thankful they’ve gotten to be in Colorado for so long! One of my favorite things about them is how easily they make each other laugh.
This little family of four means so much to me. Allyssa mentioned a while ago that she wanted family pictures the next time it snowed. So when Colorado gave us a March snow storm I knew we had to take advantage. And I’m so, so happy they were willing to brave the cold!
