I loveeeee working with couples. Hearing their love story and seeing the way their building a life together is so special! Its probably why engagement sessions are one of my favorites to do; Jessica and Tate were no exception.
Before their session, Jessica let me know that they had never gotten pictures done before. I would never have guessed that; especially once they were in front of the camera. They ended up being complete naturals! These two were looking for a location that had big open fields and views of the mountains. I knew the perfect place and they opted to go for golden hour (my favorite!).
The weather was perfect, surprisingly warm for January! The golden sunlight filled the fields around us and made the mountains glow. The couples’ vibrant and warm personalities matched our surroundings. Their session was full of laughs, teasing, and sweet kisses. I love when people don’t hesitate to be themselves, as it makes for a much more fun and relaxed experience.
Jessica and Tate met in a fitness class and he proposed while on a hike, they also described their perfect weekend day as hiking and hanging out with their puppy. Needless to say they are no strangers to physical activity and were totally game to explore the area a bit. Our session turned into a mini walk. Even though we stayed in the same general location, we were able to experience so many different viewpoints and backgrounds in the photos. From rocks, to fields, to mountain views, we got it all.
